Director and Founder, James Edmond, has over a decade of experience as a cabinetmaker. Having worked as an installer for numerous other companies in Adelaide, he saw a pattern and decided to act - clients were wanting custom cabinetry but were limited by what they were told could be produced, so it was time for James to follow his passion for creating unique and bespoke custom joinery masterpieces - and so One of a Kind Custom Joinery was born!
His background in installation enables James to manufacture joinery that is both thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted.
Affectionally abbreviated to ‘OAK’ Custom Joinery in reference to the oak tree; a symbol of strength, moral, resistance and knowledge.

After having worked as an installer for a number of prominent joinery companies in Adelaide, James decided to follow his passion for creating custom joinery solutions and founded One of a Kind Custom Joinery! With almost two decades of experience as a cabinetmaker and a strong background in shop fitting and installation, James excels at manufacturing joinery that is functional and thoughtfully executed. His expertise and dedication to producing high quality work is well regarded in the industry.

Ellen Edmond: Operations Manager
Ellen brings a decade of invaluable administrative experience from working in the legal industry. As Operations Manager, she oversees the business’ daily operations, ensuring smooth, efficient processes and maintaining high-quality standards. With her extensive background in administration and proven ability to manage tight project timelines, Ellen works closely with James and Beth to deliver an exceptional client experience that consistently exceeds expectations.

Bethany Sando: Joinery Designer
With a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and nearly 13 years of experience as a Joinery Designer, Beth brings extensive expertise in the joinery industry, including over 10 years in leadership roles. Her career has been focused on product development and implementation, with a strong foundation in joinery design, spatial planning, and has a sound technical understanding of joinery construction. Beth is known for her ability to innovate and select the best materials, while adapting designs to meet a wide range of budget needs, from entry-level to high-end projects.

James Puopolo: Foreman, Qualified Cabinetmaker & Installer
Drawing on over 20 years of hands-on experience, James is responsible for leading and supervising the team in the workshop. With a deep understanding of cabinetmaking techniques and materials, James ensures each project is completed to the highest standards of quality and precision.

Flynn Klaebe: Qualified Cabinetmaker & Installer
As Lead Installer, Flynn specialises in the precise installation of the custom cabinetry. With a keen eye for detail and a strong technical skill set, each piece is installed to perfection, aligning with design specifications and client expectations.

Ryan primarily works in our factory workshop, carefully building and assembling a variety of joinery solutions from kitchen cabinets to custom storage solutions.
